LTH Extension & New Wing

The single storey extension to Lusaka Trust Hospital (LTH) was completed in 2010 and encompassed an external walkway, connecting the existing building to the extension which was designed to accommodate additional wards, as well as the intensive care unit; independent with its own reception and waiting area. An external walkway to the rear of the building also connects the new wards to the operating theaters housed in the existing building. The New Wing of LTH comprises of 3 storeys accommodating specialist testing including MRI Scans, XRays, Endocrinology, Serology, Haematology and Micro-biology labs, administrative offices, a waiting area and pharmacy, as well as multiple additional wards on the first and second floors.
